What is the difference between a psychiatrist and a psychologist?
A psychiatrist is a medical doctor (MBBS + MD Psychiatry) who can diagnose mental health conditions and prescribe medication. A psychologist typically has a PhD or MPhil and provides talk therapy but cannot prescribe. Global Counselling lists only psychiatrists.
Are all doctors on this platform verified?
Yes. Every psychiatrist on the platform is manually verified by our team — we check their MBBS degree, MD Psychiatry, and MCI/NMC registration before any profile goes live.
Can I cancel or reschedule a booking?
